We have recently appointed John Barnett of Holly Cottage, Cowlinge as Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer of the Parish Council, to start officially on 1st July. John has been Clerk of Cowlinge Parish Council for a number of years, and has more recently also become clerk to the Saxhams. We are lucky to have found an experienced Clerk who lives locally, has some knowledge of our village and local issues, and is prepared to do this work for us. We welcome him!

The Parish Council is investigating the possibility of erecting "picket fence" style gateways at the two entrances to the village on the B1061. For examples of similar "gateways" erected by nearby villages, to facilitate discussion about what would be the most appropriate and effecte gateways for our village click here. There are a lot of images - it'll take a while to download.
