Great Bradley and the Romans
|
After the Iceni attacked and were then defeated by the Romans the Romans moved in to take control of the area from their base at Colchester. There is though very little evidence of the Roman occupation, although a villa has been found in Kedington. |
| The most significant find was
a coin from the Constantine era (303-337). It
was found near Hart Wood and is depicted on the bottom left frame of the
village
sign

The
area though was well connected by Roman Roads and over 100 pottery finds
were recorded to the west of Bradley Park Wood
